The packaging types of resistors are mainly divided into the following categories:
Surface Mount Device (SMD): Suitable for surface mount technology, common sizes include 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, etc. These numbers represent the size of the resistor (length x width, in inches). Surface mount packaging has the characteristics of space saving and high reliability.
Axial packaging: This type of packaging has leads at both ends of the resistor and is suitable for through-hole insertion technology. Common packaging includes AXIAL-0.3, AXIAL-0.4, AXIAL-0.5, etc. These subtypes mainly reflect the length and diameter of the leads.
